It’s a great day to get fit and have a good time with friends and family at the South Carolina State Museum this Saturday for Family Fitness Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Whether exercise is your passion or a dirty word to you, you’ll find out about some fun ways to take care of your body in conjunction with the exhibit of BODY WORLDS Vital.
Registration is not required and Family Fitness Day is free with paid admission to the museum or your museum membership.
Capital City Cloggers will offer a clogging demonstration and invite guests to learn some basic steps at 11 a.m. Then at 11:30 there is a Zumba dance session for kids followed by a senior session for ages 55+ at noon. Both sessions are provided courtesy of Z Factor Dance & Fitness Studio and led by owner & instructor, Valincia Borders. Natalie Knotts of First Baptist Church in downtown Columbia will lead a session of Zumba for all ages at 2:30 p.m.
